Life is an illusion
Excerpts from “The Vanished Man” by Jeffery Deaver
She said, “You know, Im not so sure there is much reality.”
He frowned, not getting her meaning.
“Isn’t most of our lives an Illusion?” she continued.
“How’s that?”
“Well, everything in the past is memory, right?”
“True.”
“And everything in the future is imagination. Those’re both illusions - memories are unreliable and we just speculate about the future. The only thing that’s completely real is this one instant of the present - and thats constantly changing from imaginary to a memory. So, see? Most of our life’s illusory.”
I guess Im not suggesting that everyone lives a life of hobo…
(Well, you can be if you really want to)
“I imagine. Therefore I am”
By allowing your imagination to run wild and free on the blank canvas, you are allowing new possibilities to happen and new dreams to take place…
You may not be the millionaire you want to be now…
You may not be as successful as you wish you can be…
You may not have as happy a life as you think you deserve in this present moment…
And of course, all these will be illusionary unless you TRY to make it happen…
Until then, there is nothing but closed doors of impossibilities…
This, is what I believe =)
